My PhD at the University of Toronto, Canada, bridged behavioural psychology, pain physiology, and computational neuroscience as I explored how pain affects the performance of daily cognitive tasks that involve goal pursuit and multitasking. My research interests include psychosocial factors affecting reward sensitivity and pain perception, sex differences, and women’s health. At the LAB lab I will investigate the human endogenous opioid system by examining how human opioid receptor mutations impact pain, reward sensitivity, stress, and cognition.
